Declaration

After reading a free excerpt from John Eckhardt’s book, Chayil: Release the Power of a Virtuous Woman, the Lord impressed upon my heart the following declaration. Try it on for yourself, too!

“I am a virtuous woman. As the Hebrew word, chayil, in Proverbs 12:4 and 31:10 (as well as Ruth 3:11) suggests, I am more than virtuous as we have traditionally interpreted that word.

“I am strong, mighty and valorous in Christ. I am a force to be reckoned with. I am capable and efficient. I am one of heaven’s warriors on earth – clothed in the might, power, riches and strength of my God. I am well-trained and combat-ready, a worthy opponent to the enemies of my soul and the army that resists the kingdom of heaven.

“I will not walk in defeat, depression or desperation. All of the resources of heaven are available to me. All authority in heaven and on earth have been delegated to me and my fellow saints from Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit.

“The devil can’t take what is mine. He can’t rob me of the treasures I have invested in heaven. He can’t take me captive. I am not his prisoner or his slave any longer. And I will fight until the day I die to see other POWs released and the casualties of war revived.

“I am YHWH’s and He is mine (Song of Solomon 6:3). Without Jesus, I can do nothing (John 15:5). But I can and will do all things through Him who gives me strength (Philippians 4:13). He is able to make all grace abound to me, so that in all things, at all times, I will abound in every good work (2 Corinthians 9:8).”
